Home Care Assistance Shares Information on Healthy Longevity at 26th Annual Salute to Seniors Event

Denver, CO (PRWEB) May 01, 2015 - Home Care Assistance, North America’s leading provider of in-home care, is dedicated to partnering with other community members in an effort to increase awareness around longevity and aging. In line with this commitment to community education, the Denver, Douglas County, Jefferson County and Centennial offices shared information on healthy aging and home care as sponsors at the 26th annual event, Salute to Seniors. The event, which was held on April 18th from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Colorado Convention Center, is designed to provide Colorado’s seniors and their families with information and tools to age happily and healthily.

“We were excited to sponsor this event because we believe it is our responsibility to share the wealth of knowledge that Home Care Assistance has around healthy, happy aging with the community,” said Todd Ediger, Owner of Home Care Assistance Denver. “Our mission is to change the way the world ages and one of the ways we fulfill that mission is by educating seniors and their loved ones on aging with grace and purpose. We have many great community resources available to help them plan for the future, maximize independence and sustain a high quality of life.”

Salute to Seniors is free to the public with about 2,000 attendees every year. It features over 100 exhibitors covering topics such as increasing quality of life and aging well, eldercare planning and insurance, housing and home repair, and leisure activities for seniors. This year, the event’s theme was “Viva Las Vegas” and included aerial acrobats, a magic show, an Elvis Tribute Concert and a car exhibit with an authentic pink Cadillac. In addition, Optum presented a health fair with free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, cognition and individual health advisor counseling sessions. Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock attended the event and declared April 18th Salute to Seniors Day in the city and county of Denver.
