Caring Transitions of Rochester Recognized with National Award

Rochester, NY (PRWEB) May 04, 2015 - The locally owned and operated business Caring Transitions of Rochester has been recognized as the company’s national Rookie of the Year franchise.

Caring Transitions of Rochester, owned by Karen and Dan Menachof, specializes in helping individuals relocate, downsize and then take care of all that’s left behind, including the sale of items through online estate sale auctions. Caring Transitions of Rochester serves families in the Monroe, Ontario and Wayne County areas. On the national level, the Caring Transitions franchise is the largest resource specializing in this type of senior relocation services.

Caring Transitions National Company President Chris Seman said Karen, who runs the local franchise Caring Transitions of Rochester, was recognized because of the passion and leadership she’s brought to the company. Three others were recognized as Rookie All-Stars, but Karen was the only Rookie of the Year.

“Karen is our ‘Captain’ of the Rookie All Star team, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in growing her business in areas such as marketing, advertising, and online auctions. Karen has worked with the Caring Transitions team to improve every week and delivers feedback on the tools used. She has also helped create additional content that has already benefited the entire system,” he said.

The Menachofs, who live in Brighton, said being recognized is a great way to celebrate their one-year anniversary.

“We’re very proud that we’ve been recognized for our willingness to share best practices with other franchise organizations. We hit the ground running when we started our business and were really excited to share our insights with others so they could do the same. And, of course, the recognition feels great for our entire team and all our supporters here in the community,” Karen said. “Earning the Rookie of the Year status is a real honor, but we couldn’t have done it without the ongoing training, support and encouragement of the corporate team and other franchise owners within the Caring Transitions network.”

“We have been really pleased by the growth of our business in the first year. Referral partners were really receptive to our offering and willing to give us a try early on and clients have been exceptionally satisfied with our work, which is gratifying. We just couldn’t be happier with how things have gone over our first year,” she added.

The Menachof family knows what it’s like to downsize and clear out a home when someone has passed away – and the burdens of the situation. When Dan’s father succumbed to illness at 85, they weren’t quite sure what to do with his estate.

“It would have been a full-time job to go through all his possessions, but no one had the time, energy or expertise to make it happen. So we hired someone to handle it for us, took a few things we really wanted to remember him and his late wife by, and went home,” Karen said. “It was a pretty bad experience, which is what drew us to Caring Transitions.”
