Haagen-Dazs® Shops Scooping Up A Treat With Free Cone Day

MINNEAPOLIS - May 5, 2015 // PRNewswire // - It's time to mark your calendars because the Haagen-Dazs brand, known for its rich super-premium ice cream, is hosting its annual free cone day celebration on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visit your local participating Haagen-Dazs Shop during the promotion for a complimentary scoop of decadent ice cream, sorbet or gelato!

As a special treat this year, Haagen-Dazs Shops will feature two new flavors from the new Haagen-Dazs Artisan Collection: Banana Rum Jam and Chocolate Caramelized Oat Ice Cream. These special new flavors are part of an exciting collaboration that highlights the work of local food artisans from across the U.S. Jessica Quon and Sabrina Valle of Brooklyn's The Jam Stand brought together unexpected flavors that helped create Banana Rum Jam while San Francisco's Claire Keane of Clairessquares used a taste of Irish heritage to inspire what has become Chocolate Caramelized Oat Ice Cream.

"Spring is a season that celebrates all things fresh and new. In 2015 Haagen-Dazs Shops celebrated its first new Shops' design in eight years and the launch of its much anticipated Artisan collection," said Dawn Uremovich, president of The Haagen-Dazs Shoppe Company. "Last year, we served over 280,000 scoops on Free Cone Day and this year we are excited to help even more people leave the dreary days of winter behind with a scoop of their favorite flavor, or maybe discover a new one."

On May 12, 2015, to celebrate Free Cone Day, Haagen-Dazs Shops is hosting an ice cream social on Twitter. This Twitter party will encourage fans to share their favorite ice cream moments. Those that participate in the ice cream social on Twitter will be eligible to win American Express gift cards, a gift card redeemable for free ice cream for a year at participating Haagen-Dazs Shops*, gift cards to Haagen-Dazs Shops and coupons for Haagen-Dazs ice cream redeemable at retailers nationwide.
