Hilton Worldwide Announces First Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotel in the Caribbean
Homewood Suites by Hilton Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to Introduce Brand’s New Caribbean and Latin America Design
May 07, 2015 // Franchising.com // MCLEAN, Va. – Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of a management agreement with Inversiones Robledo, SAS - a joint venture between Proinversión and TVP Management, to introduce its Homewood Suites by Hilton brand - an upscale, all-suite, extended-stay offering, to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Scheduled to open in Q3 2017, the new build 120-room Homewood Suites by Hilton Santo Domingo represents both the brand’s first hotel in the Caribbean and first hotel designed in line with its Caribbean and Latin America prototype.

Homewood Suites’ Caribbean and Latin America design emphasizes efficiency of space, while staying true to the brand experience by creating a clear sense of place. Guests of Homewood Suites by Hilton Santo Domingo will be welcomed by an inviting open concept lobby that flows into an indoor/outdoor living room and dining terrace. The hotel will feature 120 spacious studio, one- and two-bedroom suites, all with fully-equipped kitchens complete with microwave, full-size refrigerator, cooktop, cooking accessories and more. Rooms will offer clearly defined kitchen, living and sleeping zones, as well as ample work space. Dining options will include a full-service bar and lounge space for breakfast, lunch and dinner; pantry with a kitchen look and feel offering ready-made snacks; and suite shop convenience store offering a variety of items for purchase.

Centrally located on Winston Churchill Avenue, one of the most important avenues in the city, and across the street from Blue Mall, the 11-story Homewood Suites by Hilton Santo Domingo will offer travelers proximity to the area’s main businesses, shopping and entertainment.
Homewood Suites by Hilton provides travelers amenities and services that maximize their travel budgets including: complimentary internet, daily full-hot breakfast and complimentary evening social Monday through Thursday. Recreational options at Homewood Suites by Hilton Santo Domingo will feature a fitness center and outdoor swimming pool. The hotel will also offer more than 1,500 square feet of flexible event space.
