Watermill Express Donates Water for the 10th Annual Bike to Work Day

PHOENIX, Arizona – April 23rd, 2015 – Watermill Express, the nation’s largest drive-up pure drinking water and ice company, donated water for the 10th Annual Bike to Work Day hosted by Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix.

Over 75 gallons of pure drinking water were handed out to an estimated 275 event participants.

The purpose of the Annual Bike to Work Day is to raise awareness about:

  • bicycling as a pollution-free form of transportation
  • bicycling as a healthy and productive form of exercise that burns calories instead of fuel
  • bicycling safety and accident prevention

“The County and City appreciate the support of the community, especially Watermill Express, who will be providing water to the event participants,” said Maricopa County’s Commuter Transportation Program Manager Pat Soria. “Through their service, we will have a ‘green’ water event—eliminating plastic bottles which take years to breakdown in the landfill and offering participants clean and refreshing water to fill up their own water containers. Every event organizer should seriously think about the environmental impact of bottled water and look for ways to reduce waste.”
