Newport Beach, CA, May 27, 2015 – Bowl of Heaven - the innovative concept which serves up delicious açaí bowls, smoothies and cold pressed juices which feature plant protein and super food ingredients - has announced the signing of a 3-unit franchise deal for territories in home state of California.
Bowl Of Heaven has partnered with Fransmart, the development company responsible for the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys and Qdoba Mexican Grill, to expand through franchising. The brand now has over 50 units in development across CA and NV.
The new franchisee, Alda Au-Yeung, worked with Fransmart VP of Sales, Al Rowe, and Fransmart Director of Development, Cam Le, on her agreement, and is currently evaluating locations in the hopes to open as soon as possible. The plan is to open the first of the three units at a location in La Canada, and subsequent locations each year in her remaining franchise territory, which also includes Pasadena, Burbank, and La Crescenta.
Of the decision to partner with Bowl Of Heaven, Au-Yeung said, “After I had a taste of my first Bowl Of Heaven in Westlake Village, I was hooked! I currently drive up to an hour to the nearest Bowl Of Heaven from me, so I can’t wait to open a location in my own area. I’m also excited about the opportunity to provide healthy food options for the people in my community.”
Bowl of Heaven is a revolutionary concept in the fast casual industry as it is poised to overtake various segments in the space including healthy meal replacement, clean eating and cold pressed juicing.
“It’s unlike any other açaí bowl out there,” said Au-Yeung. “The fresh ingredients and healthy add-ons make it a complete and nutritious meal.”

Bowl of Heaven serves up fresh Açaí bowls - healthy meals made with both fresh and frozen fruits, super fruits, and healthy toppings like organic granola and honey – which are considered the future of delicious fast casual meal replacements. These bowls, which are currently popular in Brazil and Hawaii, do not use any dairy or added sugars, are filled with nutrition and antioxidants, and due to the superfood traits of the açaí berry can fill you up and energize you for hours on a mere 500 calories!
The concept was conceived by Dan McCormick and his son-in-law, Brandon Beazer, who both fell in love with açaí bowls when they experienced them out in Hawaii, and longed for a way that they could enjoy the exotic fruit bowls back home in California. In 2010, they opened the first Bowl of Heaven location and accomplished this mission!
Bowl of Heaven is a winning combination of the health benefits of the super food ingredients and the wide consumer appeal of frozen bowls and smoothies. Bowl of Heaven keeps customers coming back for more because they are not only delicious but also make consumers feel good about themselves.
