Build-Your-Own Pizza Restaurant to Host Grand Opening May 30

High Point, NC (PRWEB) May 28, 2015 - Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint will open its first location in High Point N.C., on Friday, May 29, 2015. In celebration of the grand opening May 30, the restaurant will serve free 9-inch, build-your-own, three-topping pizzas to guests in line from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant is located in the High Point Palladium Shopping Center at 4112-101 Brian Jordan Place off of Wendover Avenue.

In addition to free pizza on Friday, the restaurant has celebrations planned for the weekend. There will be activities for children and a live band from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 and the restaurant will feature beer from local Red Oak Brewery. On Sunday, May 31, children will eat free from 3-5 p.m. Finally, the High Point Chamber of Commerce will help officially welcome Uncle Maddio’s to the community with a ribbon cutting on Friday, May 29 at 11 a.m.

Uncle Maddio’s is famous for its customized artisan pizzas, salads and sandwiches. Guests can choose their own pizza toppings or select a chef-inspired signature pizza, which includes options like the Steak & Blue, Southwest Baja, or Spicy Italian pizza. Restaurant visitors interact with their pizza maker and watch their pizzas made right before their eyes. Pizzas are baked in about six minutes and cost only $7.99 for any three-topping pizza.

“We can’t wait to introduce the High Point community to the Uncle Maddio’s fresh, fast and great-tasting pizza,” said Bronce McClain, Uncle Maddio’s franchisee. “We think area friends, families and business travelers will love the build-your-own pizza concept and it will come to be a favorite stop in the Palladium Shopping Center.”

High Point, N.C., franchisee Bronce McClain has worked in the restaurant industry for more than 25 years with 23 of those years spent with one of the largest Pizza Hut franchises. He started working for Pizza Hut when he was 17-years-old and helped open the first Pizza Hut in New Jersey almost 40 years ago. McClain went on to work for the restaurant franchise in Maine, Illinois, Delaware and Winston-Salem, N.C., where he now lives and will soon open a second Uncle Maddio’s location, along with a third restaurant in Greensboro, N.C.

“Uncle Maddio’s customized pizza is the way of the future when it comes to eating pizza,” said Matt Andrew, CEO of Uncle Maddio’s. “Once they experience our restaurant concept and taste the food, North Carolinians are going to love it.”

Uncle Maddio's offers premium ingredients and more customization than any other fast-casual pizza chain. Guests choose from one of three crusts, including a gluten-free option, and 48 toppings including six sauces, 27 vegetables and 15 meats. More than 30 menu items are made fresh daily in-house. For those with dietary restrictions, Uncle Maddio's serves up a huge selection of healthful options such as whole wheat and gluten-free crusts, hormone-free chicken, fresh local vegetables, Daiya vegan cheese and organic greens. Create-your-own signature salads and toasted Panini sandwiches round out the Italian-style menu. The restaurant also offers a selection of craft beers and wine.
