Children's Services Franchise Sector Booms as Premier Preschool Company Expands

Primrose Schools® seeks passionate entrepreneurs, ranks No. 1 in franchisee satisfaction.

ATLANTA - June 4, 2015 // PRNewswire // - As the children's services franchise sector experiences rapid growth, Primrose Schools – a high-quality early education and care provider – is actively seeking Franchise Owners in several major markets targeted for expansion in 2015 including Chicago, Boston, New York City, Northern New Jersey, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Ranked number one in franchisee satisfaction by FranchiseGrade, Primrose Schools has more than 300 schools nationwide. Each Primrose school is independently owned and operated and offers a meaningful and rewarding career for entrepreneurs passionate about serving children and families.

"Education was a luxury in my home country of Zambia. And, after working for years in Corporate America, I decided to leverage my passion for education with my skills in business management," said Pratiksha Rigley, Franchise Owner of multiple Primrose schools. "I opened my first Primrose school in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2008 and since then I've opened four more locations. Now, I travel much less for work, spend more time with my family and enjoy making a positive difference in the lives of hundreds of children and families."

Last year, Primrose experienced record geographic expansion, opening 19 schools across six new states and officially expanding its footprint coast-to-coast. Additionally, Primrose awarded 45 franchise agreements and experienced a 13.5 percent increase in overall system revenue over 2013. Primrose plans to continue this upward momentum this year by awarding more than 45 franchises and opening 30 new schools across the country.

The children's services franchise sector is also growing. According to a 2014 FranchiseGrade report, the sector – including educational services, child day care, sports/fitness training and enrichment/arts programs – is one of the fastest growing franchise sectors in the country, growing at more than three times the average for the franchise industry since 2013. This growth aligns with the increasing demand for high-quality child care currently sweeping the country. Data published in May by industry research firm IBISWorld indicates the $45 billion child care industry will continue to grow as disposable income increases for parents and guardians, allowing families to spend more on high-value services such as early education programs.

"The momentum Primrose and the entire children's services franchise sector is gaining, especially on the heels of such a rapid year of growth, really sets the tone for 2015," said Chris Goethe, vice president of franchising for Primrose Schools. "As the sector continues to grow, we invite entrepreneurs who are passionate and want to make a difference in the lives of children to join us on this journey."

Primrose frequently draws entrepreneurs who have personally experienced the positive impact Primrose has on children. In fact, more than 70 percent of current Franchise Owners are parents whose children once attended a Primrose school, personally worked in a Primrose school or know a child who attended a school.

Additionally, this year, Primrose Schools reached record-breaking business growth with more than 87 percent occupancy for schools that have been open at least two years, which is among the highest rates in the child care industry. This figure highlights the financial rewards for Franchise Owners as school enrollment rates contribute to revenue. As an industry, 75 percent of all children's services franchises achieved positive net growth between 2010 and 2014.
