Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint Debuts New Italian Summer Menu Items

Sunnyside and Peachy Keen pizza, plus a Summer Peach salad, Caprese starter, and Peach Iced Tea round out the new menu.

June 04, 2015 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA, GA - Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint is debuting a new summer Italian menu from now until July 31, 2015. The menu includes a new Sunnyside pizza, Caprese starter and, taking inspiration from its Georgia Peach headquarters, the popular pizza restaurant is adding three new peach-flavored Italian menu items – a Peachy Keen pizza, Summer Peach salad, and peach iced tea. The new items are available at Uncle Maddio’s locations nationwide.

The Sunnyside pizza includes Uncle Maddio’s handmade crust, garlic olive oil, fresh mozzarella slices, shredded mozzarella, and crispy Italian prosciutto ham topped with a sunnyside egg and arugula. Or for something lighter, the Caprese starter is the Italian classic of fresh mozzarella slices, Roma tomato slices, basil, pesto, with a balsamic drizzle. The Sunnyside pizza is priced at $7.99 and the Caprese starter at $4.99.

Guests can also choose the Peachy Keen pizza made with Uncle Maddio’s handmade crust, garlic olive oil, shredded mozzarella, caramelized onions, crispy Italian prosciutto ham, feta crumbles and fresh peaches, topped with basil and drizzled with balsamic glaze; the Summer Peach salad that features a bed of mixed greens and arugula, fresh peaches, crispy Italian prosciutto ham, feta crumbles, a red wine vinaigrette drizzle with honey and topped with toasted pistachios; and to wash it all down a peach flavored iced tea. The Peachy Keen pizza and Summer Peach Salad are $7.99 each.

“Our head chef is always experimenting with different flavor combinations and it was only a matter of time before the famous Georgia Peaches found their way onto our Atlanta home kitchen,” says Matt Andrew, CEO and Founder of Uncle Maddio’s. “The sweet peach flavor tastes amazing when paired with savory pizza, and I can’t wait for our guests to try that and our Sunnyside pizza this summer.”

Uncle Maddio's offers premium ingredients and more customization than any other fast-casual pizza chain. Guests choose from one of three crusts, including a gluten-free option, and 48 toppings including six sauces, 27 vegetables and 15 meats. Create-your-own signature salads and toasted Panini sandwiches round out the Italian-style menu. The restaurant also offers a selection of craft beers and wine.
