Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) June 10, 2015 - When Laura Osorio found herself laid off from the only job she ever had in the United States, she turned the shock into an entrepreneurial opportunity and opened Caring Transitions of Boca Raton.
Caring Transitions is America’s largest resource specializing in managing relocations for seniors and busy families as well as downsizing and estate liquidations. In addition to organizing, packing, decluttering, moving and resettling, Caring Transitions can handle on-site and online estate sales, liquidations, and preparing homes for market. Osorio’s local franchise serves Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach and the surrounding communities.
Osorio moved to the United States from Venezuela 19 years ago and became a citizen in 2003. Once the shock of being laid off from Motorola after 17 years – her only job here in America – she decided to embrace the unexpected change.
“I was devastated about being laid off because I was so loyal to the company, but it gave me the opportunity to fulfill the American dream of being a business owner. I liked Caring Transitions because of the business concept and the support from the franchise system and corporate team. It was also a perfect fit for my background in Process Improvement and Project Management,” Osorio said. “I’m looking forward to using my skills to make a real difference in peoples’ lives.”
While many of Caring Transitions’ clients are seniors and their families, Osorio knows that anyone can use a friendly professional to help with difficult life transitions.
“I am very excited to be in a field where I’ll have the opportunity to work with seniors, but that’s not all we do. When I downsized from a five-bedroom house to a three-bedroom townhome after my divorce, I had to handle the entire process by myself. I spent the whole summer trying to pack things I wanted to keep, sell items I didn’t want, move, sell the house and handle my emotions. It was difficult and I want people to know that it’s OK to seek out help. Caring Transitions is here,” she said.
In addition to the experience she brings to the business, Osorio holds an MBA from Lynn University, a Master’s Certificate in Project Management, is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified, and is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, a designation bestowed by an independent organization that evaluates providers of senior relocation services. Caring Transitions of Boca Raton is bonded and insured.
Caring Transitions is a trusted and highly respected national company leading the way in senior relocation, household liquidations and estate sale management in more than 150 locations across the United States. Caring Transitions is part of the International Franchise Association, the Small Business Association’s Franchise Registry, VetFran and Minority Fran.
“Caring Transitions is an honest and trustworthy company you can rely on to help you get through this transition. I am looking forward to showing you what we can do and earning your business,” Osorio said.
When she’s not working, Osorio is a volunteer with American Red Cross where she helps teach fire prevention in low-income neighborhoods and gives out smoke detectors. She’s looking forward to getting even more involved in local volunteer efforts as a small business owner.
