Seniors Helpers® Launches International Franchise Sales Efforts

The U.S. elder care franchisor set to begin global sales push for expansion into five countries overseas.

(PRWEB) June 10, 2015 - Seniors Helpers®, one of the nation's largest in-home elder care companies, announced today it has launched global sales efforts seeking master franchisees to build one of the largest elderly care organizations in the world. Seniors Helpers, who currently has over 260 franchise locations worldwide, first expanded internationally in June of 2013 in Australia. Since then, Seniors Helpers has continued to search for international brand expansion opportunities and has recently targeted major metropolitan markets in Ireland, France, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The elder care sector is experiencing rapid growth and expansion into burgeoning markets across the globe. Forbes Magazine stated global ageing is one of "today's best business opportunities," and cited drastic reduction in diseases and advances in access to health care as factors for increased life expectancies. However, these seismic shifts have left health care organizations unprepared to care for the increase in the senior population, further strengthening the need for outsourced elderly care.

“This lightning fast demographic growth will put the international health care system under strain. As a result, governments are opening doors for private businesses to assist in providing the short and long-term care people need,” says Seniors Helpers President Craig Leonard. “With its long-standing reputation and expertise, Seniors Helpers is uniquely poised to take advantage of this opportunity.”

According to the United Nations World Populations Ageing Report, population ageing is taking place in nearly all the countries of the world. The global share of older people (aged 60 years or over) increased to 11.7% in 2013 and will continue to grow as a proportion of the world population, almost doubling size to 21.1% by 2050.

“As the senior population segment continues to rise, Senior Helpers master franchise owners will be positioned to capitalize on the booming need for in-home elder care,” says Senior Helpers Vice President of International Development, Amy Petersen-Smith. “This need extends far beyond the United States to most every metropolitan market across the globe.”

Senior Helpers has aligned themselves with a company, International Franchise Advisory Services (IFAS), to assist them with this expansion plan, “The IFAS team of experts is excited to evaluate these opportunities and identify qualified partners for Seniors Helpers,” says IFAS Managing Partner Al Mendoza.

Seniors Helpers first expanded to the international market in June of 2013 when master franchisor Grant Gaston opened his first Australian franchise. Gaston, who has many years of experience working in the health care industry, worked with Senior Helpers to re-engineer and adapt Senior Helpers' home care private pay model to fit the local market. This enabled franchisees to compete effectively for business in the government-funded home care sector. Over the past two years, Gaston expanded the brand to multiple locations throughout Australia.
