Free family fun fair, introduction of "Grand Opening Grand Slam" furniture refund promotion June 27 and 28

WARREN, Mich., June 15, 2015 // PRNewswire // - Next stop, Naperville! Art Van Furniture's newest Chicagoland location in Naperville, Illinois (404 S. Route 59) is opening its doors to the community with fanfare, fun, and details about the company's exciting "Grand Opening Grand Slam" promotion in which guests can receive full refunds on all furniture, mattresses and clearance center items they purchase.

On Thursday, June 25, the Midwest's No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer will host a red carpet, VIP ribbon cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. Art Van Furniture Founder and Chairman Art Van Elslander, members of the company's leadership team, and Naperville dignitaries, including Mayor Steve Chirico and the Naperville Chamber of Commerce, will participate. A champagne reception will follow at 6 p.m. featuring light appetizers and desserts, live entertainment, and a book signing with special guest Nigel Barker, the internationally renowned photographer, celebrity host of The Face on the Oxygen Network, and Art Van style maker. Barker will sign 300 complimentary copies of his new book, Models of Influence, for guests.

The grand opening festivities will continue with fun for the whole family on Saturday, June 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be face painting, magicians, music, refreshments and free Bluetooth speaker bars while supplies last.

All furniture, mattresses and clearance center purchases made on June 27 and 28 (including sales tax and delivery) will be refunded in full if either of Chicago's crosstown professional baseball teams hit grand slams during the seventh inning during their July 10, 11 and 12 home games against each other.

The 53,000 square foot store, formally a Carson Pirie Scott Furniture Gallery, has been completely renovated and will feature specialty showrooms including Art Van Urban, Modern Living and Art Van PureSleep. Approximately 60 full and part-time sales, office, management, delivery, visual merchandising and warehouse jobs have been created.
