First Watch Introduces Summer Menu, Brings Back Avocado Toast

Daytime Café Welcomes Summer with a New Seasonal Menu

June 16, 2015 // // BRADENTON, Fla – First Watch, the nation’s leading breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, today announced the debut of its new Summer menu, which features the eatery’s Avocado Toast – back by popular demand. Like all the traditional First Watch favorites, the Summer menu keeps things fresh with locally grown ingredients while introducing a unique spin on some breakfast and brunch classics.

“First Watch customers have reached out with an overwhelming amount of positive feedback about the Avocado Toast since it was featured on our Jump Start seasonal menu,” said Shane Schaibly, First Watch’s corporate chef and director of culinary operations. “They love the combination of our thick-cut whole grain toast, our smashed avocado recipe and Maldon Sea Salt, which is harvested through a natural filtering and heating of seawater. It’s those details that set this dish apart.”

Alongside the Avocado Toast, First Watch’s limited-time Summer menu offers a fresh take on a classic Steak & Eggs dish and First Watch’s twist on tacos for breakfast. Customers can find the following seasonal offerings in addition to the traditional favorites at their local First Watch for a limited time:

  • Avocado Toast – Our thick-cut whole grain toast topped with fresh smashed avocado, EVOO, lemon and Maldon sea salt. Served with two basted eggs and garnished with fresh herbs.
  • Breakfast Tacos – Three corn tortillas with scrambled eggs, Cajun chicken, Chorizo and shredded Cheddar & Monterey Jack cheeses. Topped with fresh avocado and housemade pico de gallo. Served with seasoned black beans.
  • Steak & Eggs Florentine – Seared flat iron steak and scrambled eggs with fresh spinach, house-roasted tomatoes and onions, Parmesan and fresh herbs. Served with toasted Ciabatta.

To celebrate summertime, First Watch has also expanded its Fresh Juice Bar. The restaurant now features a selection of three freshly-squeezed beverages, juiced in-house daily from the freshest fruits and vegetables, sourced locally whenever possible. The restaurant has added a refreshing new summer drink to its fresh juice options:

  • Pineapple Cooler – Pineapple, orange, cucumber, lime and organic ginger.

The 2015 Summer offerings will be available until Sunday, August 9.
