Hamra Enterprises, Missouri Noodles & Company Franchisee, Announces Fundraising Partnership With Make-A-Wish Missouri

Goal is to grant two wishes before the end of 2015.

June 17, 2015 // Franchising.com // St. Louis, MO – Hamra Enterprises, a Noodles & Company franchisee for St. Louis and Columbia, Missouri, is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Missouri chapter. Make-A-Wish is a national nonprofit that arranges memorable experiences for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Guests at Noodles & Company restaurants in both St. Louis and Columbia will be able to make donations supporting local wishes through the organization’s Missouri chapter, which has granted more than 5,000 wishes since 1983.

“At Noodles & Company, community involvement has always been one of our most important ingredients,” says Noodles & Company Franchise Partner Mike Hamra, President and CEO of Hamra Enterprises. “We hope our guests will be as excited as we are by this opportunity to participate in the effort to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.”

“Individual contributions – no matter how small – are going to add up, and together we can make a huge impact on the lives of some truly deserving children right here in Missouri by helping to grant their one true wish,” says Hamra. Hamra Enterprises has a similar relationship with their Chicago-area Panera Bread locations, and their local Make-A-Wish chapter. “The program has been overwhelmingly successful in the Chicago area, helping to support nearly 100 wishes over the past five years, we hope to see the same support here in Missouri.”

Missouri’s Noodles & Company restaurants, owned and operated by Hamra Enterprises, have set a goal of granting two local wishes, totaling $10,000, by the end of 2015.

In St. Louis, Noodles & Company restaurant-goers will be supporting a wish similar to Galina’s – a 17-year-old Lupus Nephritis patient who enjoyed a bon voyage dinner at the Des Peres Noodles & Company before setting sail on a Disney Cruise. While in Columbia, guests can donate to grant a wish similar to one given Aiden, a 9-year-old battling brain cancer, so that he and his family could travel to Universal Studios.

Galina, who is currently in remission after chemo, months of strong immunosuppressants and frequent hospital visits, said of her wish: “Getting to this point in my life, feeling like my old self, has been difficult. I am excited because my family and I could to escape for a little while.”

Hamra Enterprises is a strong believer in giving back to local communities. Each year, the company focuses its efforts on supporting local organizations and making a large impact, sponsoring special events and offering various donations and fundraising programs. In years past, Hamra Enterprises has worked with organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Boston Children’s Hospital, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
