June 22, 2015 // Franchising.com // HARRISBURG, Penn. - Arooga’s, America’s Next Top Restaurant Franchise, is amplifying its game in New Jersey, with its fifth multi-unit franchise agreement, two of which are in The Garden State.
Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar, the Harrisburg, Penn.-based award-winning full-service casual restaurant and bar, today announced it has entered into a multi-unit franchise agreement with entrepreneur and investor Cordell Toson, President of Enterprise Capital Holdings to open a minimum of four locations in Union & Somerset Counties of New Jersey. Arooga’s previously announced a deal with Jersey Wings Unlimited Inc. to open six restaurants in the Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean County areas, giving the brand 10 upcoming locations in the state.
Arooga’s currently has nine, soon to be ten corporate locations in Central Pennsylvania, and it opened its first franchise location in Uncasville, Connecticut adjacent to the Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino in March as part of a 15 location multi-unit agreement with the Mohegan Holding company. Earlier this week, the brand announced a multi-unit franchise agreement with JGJO Development Co. LLC to open 10 locations in the Long Island (Nassau/Suffolk Counties) & Queens areas of New York.
In total, the new agreement with Cordell Toson gives the Arooga’s brand a total of 48 units, 10 corporate and 38 franchise locations, either built or under contract. Mr. Toson’s 31-year career has included successful stints with AT&T, Avaya, and Empire Technologies, the latter of which he co-founded and later sold to NACR. He departed from NACR last year and is leveraging his experience to invest in business and real estate.
