Assisting Hands Home Care Hosts Fifth Annual Retreat

In-Home Care Franchise Attracts 75 Percent Conference Attendance With Resort Location and Retreat Atmosphere

June 25, 2015 // Franchising.com // NAMPA, Idaho - Assisting Hands Home Care, an in-home franchise company, drew more than 75 percent of its organization's members to its recent threeand-a-half day annual conference by strategically planning the event. Leaders accomplished a goal few franchisors can, by carefully planning an info-packed, productive agenda, while choosing the paradise-like location of El Dorado Royale Resort in Cancun, Mexico for its 2015 FEAR Retreat. FEAR stands for Franchise Education & Adventure Retreat. This was the fifth consecutive company retreat with more than 60 percent attendance as well as being the fifth overall annual conference.

This year's 90 participants included franchisees, executive and management team members and guest speakers. "We are very pleased with the event attendance," said Assisting Hands Home Care CEO Lane Kofoed. "This retreat covered subjects that are very valuable to franchisee operations, including legal issues and updates, strategies for marketing an Assisting Hands business, searching engine optimization, social media, business coaching, caregiver recruiting, managing growth and reducing hospital readmissions."

The FEAR 2015 agenda included a mixture of meetings targeting continuing education and enjoyable resort excursions, such as dining on local cuisine, attending musical stage performances, beach time and even an opportunity to swim with dolphins.

Franchisee Alexis Nguyen is a second time attendee, and owns the Assisting Hands Gulf Coast franchise in Tampa, Florida. Nguyen said she deems the event successful because of the valuable information it provided and the networking opportunities it afforded. "I learned a lot and got to hang out with really great people!" said Nguyen. "The resort was really nice; Our retreat conference just gets better and better every year."

Franchisee networking is an element also valued by the Assisting Hands Home Care business operations director, Shana Kolman. "We have long emphasized the importance of having a family relationship with our franchisees," said Kolman. "When franchise owners tell you they are grateful for the environment of sharing and fellowship at a retreat, that they are re-energized and excited to return to their operations, you know you are doing something right!"

Assisting Hands Director of Franchise Development, Diane Wright feels maintaining a "family-like" atmosphere at Assisting Hands Home Care is vital to bringing new franchisees to the company.

"Our company's most important focus right now in attracting potential franchisees is to continue to provide outstanding training and support to our existing franchisees," said Wright. "We want to provide them with the tools and programs they need to help them successfully build their businesses, and maintain a strong competitive edge in their markets. When prospective franchisees hear great things from our Family of Franchise Owners, they want to become part of our family!"
