CLEVELAND - June 30, 2015 // GLOBE NEWSWIRE // - Weed Man USA, North America's fastest growing lawn care franchise, has been named by Forbes Magazine as one of America's Best Franchises under an initial investment of $150,000 on the "Best & Worst Franchises to Buy" list for 2015.
Compiled by the franchise industry research firm FRANdata, each company was analyzed and ranked by cost of initial investment (economy: up to $150,000; coach: between $150,001 and $500,000; first-class: $500,001 and up), five-year growth rates, five-year continuity rates and consistency of ownership. FRANdata also considers the level of franchisee support provided by the franchisor.
"We have our franchisees to thank for our success and the recognition that comes along with it," said Jennifer Lemcke, COO of Turf Holdings and Weed Man USA. "With double digit growth year after year, the success of the franchise opportunity speaks for itself and we are continuing to grow at a phenomenal rate."
Weed Man USA sales topped over $73 million in 2014, which was a 17.6 percent growth in system sales over the previous year. The franchise is continuing to experience the same success this year with a 15 to 20 percent sales increase and the planned addition of 56 new franchise territories. In part, a factor driving this sustained growth is the demand from independent landscaping and pest control business owners to diversify their existing product and service offerings by opening a Weed Man franchise.
"We owe our growth and tremendous success to our customer base," said Roger Mongeon, CEO of Weed Man USA. "Weed Man has grown one customer at a time in local markets across the United States, and we're so thankful for our customers' ongoing trust in our brand."
In addition to securing a spot as one of the best on the Forbes list of "Best Franchises to Buy," Weed Man USA was recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top 100 franchise opportunities in the country in the 2015 "Franchise 500" list of best franchise investments.
