As part of the show’s “Improv” episode, Food Network Star contestants were challenged to create a pizza using an array of unlikely ingredients.
The winning selection, a special dessert pizza dubbed the Fiery Mango Tango, debuts today at every CiCi’s restaurant nationwide – nearly 450 in all – on its endless pizza, pasta, salad, soup and dessert buffet.
“When Food Network asked if we’d be interested in doing this challenge, we knew it would be fun,” said CiCi’s Chief Executive Officer Darin Harris, who also appeared in the episode. “I’m very pleased to say the Fiery Mango Tango pizza hit the mark and excited to hear how our consumers react to this new explosion of flavor. It’s a combination of a sweet, tropical blend of pineapple and mango with cream cheese icing and a jalapeno kick.”
This limited-time dessert pizza will be available through Sunday, August 16.
