TAMPA, FL - (Marketwired - Jul 20, 2015) - College Hunks Hauling Junk has opened its first franchise in the Naples, Florida, area. The move furthers the company's penetration into the Sunshine State, and it also gives new owner, Joby Pallipatte, the opportunity to introduce the College Hunks Hauling Junk differentiators to a new market.
A former purchaser for a hospitality company that operated multiple resort properties, Pallipatte said he was drawn to College Hunks Hauling Junk by its strong customer service model. The moving and removal industry is not always known for clean, friendly service, he explained, so he saw an opportunity.
"That attention to detail and general responsiveness is what customers want, and that is what will set College Hunks Hauling Junk apart in the Naples area," Pallipatte said.
"We are a Florida-based company, and so we take extra care when we're setting up a franchise in our backyard," said Omar Soliman, CEO and co-founder of College Hunks Hauling Junk. "Entrepreneurs like Joby, who know how to get the job done right, are exactly who we want to see bringing College Hunks into a new market, whether it's in Florida or anywhere else in the country."
A young, energetic workforce will enhance the customer focus. Pallipatte said that he looks forward to mentoring young people, another College Hunks Hauling Junk core principle that makes it more than just a moving and removal business.
"I've seen those places where they're just running a dump truck and that's it -- one business unit," he said. "We're not going to do that. Each one of our trucks is a small business of its own, and it's great experience for the entire team to build the overall business by looking at it that way. We are going to be a youth-infused business with a lot of energy."
High-quality customer service, coupled with clean, friendly employees shouldn't be uncommon in the service industry, but it often is, noted Soliman.
"When people call us, they often have attempted to work with another service and have found them wanting," he said. "People are just not going to put up with late arrivals, or even no-shows, and a sloppy approach. That's why College Hunks Hauling Junk puts so much focus on being clean, on time, and performing above expectations. We're very excited to see how Naples reacts to our world-class service."
Pallipatte agreed, adding that top-notch performance isn't just good business, it's a great way to create goodwill within the community.
"I like that a lot of what we pick up isn't going to a landfill, but is being recycled and reused and so is helping the environment. I like that we're partnering with Goodwill and other thrift-store operators to make that happen, because that helps them employ more people and be more successful as well," he said. "I also like that we're taking the stress out of people's lives. If you walk into your garage and think, 'How am I going to get rid of all this?' We have the answer. Helping the environment, reducing someone's stress level... it gives happiness."
