Lily The Turtle On Display At Art Van Furniture In Petoskey Through August 4

As Part Of Bay Harbor Foundation American Red Cross Turtle Walk Fundraiser

WARREN, Mich. - July 21, 2015 // PRNewswire // - Guests at Art Van Furniture in Petoskey (1619 Anderson Road) are coming out of their shells to pose with Lily the Turtle, a whimsical, colorful painted sculpture on display in the store. Lily is one of 19 artistic turtles perched around Petoskey and Bay Harbor as part of the Bay Harbor Foundation and American Red Cross of Northwest Michigan campaign to raise awareness and funds to replenish the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Lily, designed by Edith Pair, owner of Ellair Gallery, and the other turtles are five feet long, lightweight and made of fiberglass. Decorated by local artists, the weather-resistant sculptures can be displayed indoors or outdoors. The turtles will be auctioned off on August 6 at Bay Harbor Foundation's Come Out of Your Shell Dinner and Auction in the Village of Bay Harbor. All proceeds will go toward providing immediate relief to families who have lost their homes due to fire, flooding or other natural disasters.

Guests at Art Van Furniture who visit Lily will receive complimentary first aid kits while supplies last. For additional information, visit artvan.com.
