On The Border® Names New Chief Marketing Officer

OTB Selects Foodservice and Restaurant Industry Veteran Ashley Zickefoose for Top Marketing Position at the World’s Largest Casual Dining Mexican Concept

August 05, 2015 // Franchising.com // DALLAS, Texas – On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina®, the world’s largest casual dining Mexican concept, today announced the appointment of Ashley Zickefoose to the position of Chief Marketing Officer, effective September 8, 2015.

Ms. Zickefoose, most recently principal of brand strategy agency BES Consulting Group, whose client list includes YUM Brands emerging concept, the Banh Shop, has extensive marketing experience in executive roles with foodservice and restaurant companies, including Kraft Foods and Pizza Hut/YUM Brands. She was also the SVP of Marketing for Dallas-based retailer Sleep Experts.

“Ashley is a proven marketing and business leader across several industries. Her diverse wealth of experience in brand strategy makes her the right choice for On The Border,” said Ward Whitworth, President of On The Border. “Her positive energy, high accountability and strong focus on delivering results make her a great addition to the OTB team.”

Zickefoose, who has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an Honors Program degree from Texas A&M University will be responsible for overall brand management, planning and strategy, advertising and public relations initiatives, R&D and innovation. She is based in Dallas and will report directly to Mr. Whitworth.
