Seasoned Restaurateurs to Bring More of the Brand’s Mouth-Watering Bites and First-Class Musical Entertainment to Central Georgia Residents with New Columbus Location

August 11, 2015 // Franchising.com // COLUMBUS, Ga. – Wild Wing Cafe is hitting all the right notes at its new Columbus restaurant.

The brand that lives by the motto “Hot Wings, Cold Beer, Good Times” today announces the grand opening of its new Wild Wing Cafe (WWC) location in Columbus. The new restaurant will be the first for Sanjay Choudhury, a Columbus-based restaurant owner and operator who plans to open two additional units in Newnan and Peachtree City.

“Wild Wing Cafe is the full package,” said Choudhury. “From our top-notch musical entertainment to our world-class food, warm and welcoming dining environment and unmatched service, we give our customers a reason to come back time and time again. We are excited to give Columbus a taste of what Wild Wing Cafe is all about.”

The new Wild Wing Cafe is slated to open on Friday, September 18th with a grand opening event that begins at 5 p.m. The event will feature LIVE music, food and drink specials, and more.

The new cafe is located at 6525 Whittlesey Blvd. in North Columbus, conveniently situated adjacent to the Hobby Lobby in the Columbus Park Crossing Shopping Center off U.S. Highway 27. Choudhury is planning to hire more than 150 team members to staff the restaurant including servers, bartenders, hostesses, cooks, among a number of other key roles. The restaurant will be the 12th Wild Wing Cafe in Georgia, joining the existing locations in Alpharetta, Augusta, Dunwoody, Gainesville, Hamilton Mill, Macon, Pooler, Savannah, Snellville, Statesboro, and Suwanee.

“Right from the moment customers walk in, they will know that they have come somewhere special. We offer our guests an experience that they can’t get anywhere else,” added Choudhury. “We are looking forward to providing a lively hangout for Columbus residents to let loose and enjoy award-winning food and music with family and friends.”

The brand has built its rock-solid reputation for being the liveliest neighborhood hangout throughout the southeastern United States with its blend of award-winning menu items and extraordinary music entertainment. These unique differentiators captured the attention of Sanjay Choudhury, compelling him to open the first Wild Wing Cafe in the area.

Fresh, made-from-scratch wings and homemade sauces are at the heart of Wild Wing Cafe’s menu. However, it’s the menu’s variety, which includes specialties such as half-pound Angus Steakhouse Burgers, salads and Wild Wraps, that keeps customers coming back. And, the Wild Wing Cafe music scene bolsters the brand’s connection to the communities it serves with events and promotions such as “Red Hot & Rising,” “WingStock” and “The Wild Wing Voice Off,” among others.

About Wild Wing Cafe

Founded in 1990 in Hilton Head, S.C., Wild Wing Cafe began as a single restaurant that featured the homemade wild wing recipes of its two founders Cecil and Dianne Crowley. As the good times and great food grew in popularity within the Hilton Head community, the Crowleys expanded the brand, eventually offering franchise opportunities. In 2012, Axum Capital Partners, purchased the then 32-unit chain (39 currently), and has implemented an enhanced growth strategy for select U.S. markets.

Today, Wild Wing Cafe operates in seven southeastern states and is an unquestioned leader within its category in food quality, drinks (an extensive beer list) and its electrifying ambiance. Music is at the core of the brand’s personality, with nightly entertainment and regular band competitions.
