August 12, 2015 // Franchising.com // SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Following a worldwide contest, Sweet Lorraine’s Fabulous Mac n’ Cheez! has been selected as one of three restaurants to present their concepts before a panel of investors and a live audience at the Fast Casual Executive Summit on Oct. 20 in Miami, FL.
Founded in 2010 and franchising since 2013, Detroit-based Sweet Lorraine’s has four locations currently open throughout Michigan. The company is planning to open additional locations in Midtown Detroit, Illinois and Ohio.
To be considered, the restaurant concepts were required to have at least one store open (no more than 10), have been open between six months and five years, and must be willing to share revenue and average sales data.
Canada-based Burgers n’ Fries Forever (BFF) and Florida-based Pincho Factory were also selected to present their concepts at the Summit.
"Through the "Perfect Pitch" contest, we are able to gain feedback from industry experts who have years of experience in the fast casual world," said Gary Sussman, CEO of Sweet Lorraine’s. "Not only will this give us advice on what it takes to succeed as a fast casual franchise, but it will also assist with our expansion initiatives into the Midwest and the rest of the country."
The panel of experts includes Ben Butler, Founder of Rock Creek MT LLC, David Oddi, Founding Partner of Goode Partners, and Larry Reinstein, President of LJR Hospitality Ventures.
These experts will provide on-the-spot advice to the entrepreneurs following their pitches. All three concepts have received numerous inquiries about franchise opportunities, and the owners are seeking advice on how best to grow their respective concepts into national chains.
The Summit has been created specifically for c-level executives, VPs and directors for restaurant operators in the fast casual and QSR segments.
