Mr. Handyman Looks to Expand Presence Throughout the Southeast

National Home Repair and Maintenance Company Seeks Franchisees to Meet Demand for Services in Atlanta and Florida

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - August 13, 2015 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - To fulfill demand for both commercial and residential services, the national home repair and maintenance company Mr. Handyman is actively seeking franchisees to open up to 20 locations throughout Atlanta and Florida.

“Currently in the Southeast we have a small brand footprint, positive local reputation and great value,” said Mr. Handyman President J.B. Sassano. “With the large customer potential in this region, Mr. Handyman is a lucrative option for those looking into franchise ownership.”

Georgia currently has two Mr. Handyman owners servicing a majority of the metro Atlanta region. The brand is looking to aggressively increase its footprint by opening 10 locations, including Decatur, Alpharetta, Marietta, Roswell, Mableton, McDonough, Clayton County, Norcross, Lilburn and Lithonia.

Mr. Handyman is also targeting Florida in its plans for southeast expansion. Owner of Mr. Handyman serving Ocala to West Apopka, Dennis McGee is seeing great success. His 2014 yearend sales surpassed the previous year’s by more than 50 percent and his 2015 first quarter sales are up 18 percent when compared to last.

The brand is currently seeking qualified franchise partners to develop 10 markets including Tampa, South Bradenton, Cape Coral, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Tallahassee, Jacksonville Beach, Melbourne and West Palm Beach.

For entrepreneurs interested in owning a handyman service franchise, the industry has a positive outlook. Mr. Handyman saw system-wide consumer sales increase 18 percent last year. Overall, handyman service is a $1.3 billion industry and is poised for renewed growth as a result of increased disposable income and an increase in existing home sales and housing prices, according to research firm IBISWorld.

Mr. Handyman has received numerous awards for entrepreneurship and humanitarian support. The investment to open a Mr. Handyman franchise is $102,000 to $129,100.
