Another Broken Egg Cafe Opens 50th Location in Lake Mary, Florida

From Regional Darling to National Favorite, Award Winning Breakfast, Lunch and Brunch Cafe Opens Milestone Restaurant

LAKE MARY, Fla. - August 14, 2015  - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Another Broken Egg Cafe, the award winning breakfast, brunch and lunch concept celebrated for its charming atmosphere and diversified menu options, is opening its 50th location in Lake Mary, Fla. at 920 International Parkway. The cafe opens under the leadership of Another Broken Egg Cafe’s first franchisee, Jake Alleman, managing partner of Cojak Restaurant Group.

This milestone opening comes in a banner year for the breakfast company, who recently opened its first location inside a hotel and just announced expansion plans into new markets such as San Diego and Little Rock, Ark. Also in 2015, Another Broken Egg Cafe made Restaurant Business Magazine’s list of the 50 Fastest Growing Small Chains in America. The renowned brand plans to more than double its footprint over the next three years with a total of 100 restaurants by 2018.

“I have a long history with Another Broken Egg Cafe, from working in the restaurant as a server while still in college to becoming the brand’s first franchisee in 2007,” said Alleman. “Being able to watch first-hand how the restaurant has grown from a regional favorite to a major national player has been incredibly rewarding. I feel honored to be on the team opening the milestone 50th location in Lake Mary.”

As the company has seen exponential growth in recent years, Another Broken Egg Cafe’s COO, Kevin Armantrout, has been tasked with evolving the operational systems in place. To aid in back of house functionality, training and development, and management systems, Armantrout has incorporated Playerlync into the daily operations of the restaurant, a tablet-based system that will ensure consistency throughout the swiftly growing brand. Additionally, to ease customer burden during long wait periods and allow for more customers to dine across the brand, Another Broken Egg Cafe is adopting the use of NoWait, a phone app that allows customers to add their name to the wait list before heading to the restaurant.

“To ensure there are no growing pains as we continue to expand in new markets across the country, we realize we need to streamline our systems,” said Armantrout. “As Another Broken Egg Cafe continues to see aggressive growth, we are making sure a customer can go into our new Lake Mary, Florida location or our Burbank, California location and experience the same great tasting recipes and extraordinary customer service. With successful franchisees like Cojak Restaurant Group mixed with a line of hungry entrepreneurs eager to invest in the promising franchise opportunity Another Broken Egg Cafe offers, we are on track to hit our 100 store goal.”

Staying true to its New Orleans roots, Another Broken Egg Cafe shines in the crowded restaurant sector thanks to a universally-appealing menu of 130 fresh and nutritious dishes that include the likes of Bananas Foster, Huevos Rancheros and six ‘Signature’ Benedicts, as well as popular lunch offerings. Driven by attention to detail – everything from its French country décor, hand-made stoneware coffee mugs, warm color schemes, and original artwork – the upscale cafe offers patrons the opportunity to ‘vacation’ in an inviting atmosphere equipped with casual elegance.

Another Broken Egg Cafe of Lake Mary will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and can be reached at 321-363-0548.
