Uncle Maddio’s introduces the Foldwich - crafted sandwiches showcasing the freshest ingredients folded in our popular crusts, all for diners who may not want to gamble on a traditional sandwich.

August 19, 2015 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA – Pizza lovers who are already fans of Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint made-to-order pizza can now extend their affection to the Foldwich, a non-traditional craft sandwich that combines the best features of classic pizza with the convenience of toasted sandwich entrees - while still enjoying the fresh and often unique ingredients for which Uncle Maddio’s is so well known. The five Foldwich menu items are available at all 37 Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint restaurants across the U.S. from August 17 through September 30 and will be $8.99 in most markets.

“This isn’t a folded slice of pizza - it’s distinctly different,” explains Uncle Maddio’s Founder and CEO Matt Andrew. “Uncle Maddio’s guests will see our team build their Foldwich using a layered approach, ensuring the flavors of our fresh ingredients are enhanced through the toasting process, not hidden.”

The new seasonal Foldwich menu includes five international-themed approaches that will likely align with diners’ full range of unique and diverse tastes and preferences: Spicy Italian, Caprese, Mediterranean, Chipotle Turkey and Backyard BBQ will feature tradition along with unique flavor twists.

  • Spicy Italian showcases pepperoni, salami & prosciutto, enhanced with fresh mozzarella slices, tomato, roasted red pepper, red onions, banana peppers, mixed greens and Italian dressing.
  • Caprese offers grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella slices, tomato and arugula, and pesto sauce.
  • Mediterranean features superbly grilled chicken, goat cheese, artichoke, sundried tomato, portabella, fresh tomatoes, arugula, our olive topanade and Greek dressing.
  • Chipotle Turkey combines traditional turkey with melted pepperjack, bacon, avocado, tomato, and mixed greens, all complemented by our chipotle ranch.
  • Backyard BBQ foldwich brings the new selections really close to home, delivering spicy jerk chicken, melted pepperjack, bacon, red onions, roasted red peppers, tomato and arugula, all tinged with our sweet & spicy BBQ sauce.

All Foldwich selections will be folded into Uncle Maddio’s popular homemade pizza crusts.

To complete the fast-casual dining experience, Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint also offers a selection of craft beers and wine, as well as Coca-Cola beverages. The restaurant promotes a casual, welcoming atmosphere appropriate across the entire community it serves.

Uncle Maddio’s is unique among most pizza restaurants, with guests interacting with the pizza maker to customize their very own pizza or sandwich or salad with premium ingredients and crust preferences, with the assurance their customized pie or sandwich will be delivered hot to their table in less than 8 minutes.
