Red MangoAnnounces Expansion into K-12 Food Service
Red Mango Debuts at Three North Texas High Schools
August 24, 2015 // Franchising.com // DALLAS – A longtime favorite at college campuses around the U.S., Red Mango® has announced it is officially expanding into K-12 Food Service Programs in partnership with global food service leader Aramark, beginning with self-serve yogurt machines and toppings bars recently installed at three high schools in the Northwest Independent School District (NISD) in North Texas.
At the start of this semester Red Mango frozen yogurt will be available to students at the following high schools: Northwest High School in Justin, Texas; Bryon Nelson High School in Trophy Club, Texas; and V.R. Eaton High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Each school will have two frozen yogurt machines that will serve popular Red Mango yogurt flavors and be customizable at the toppings bar, which will offer a wide variety of delicious additions.
Red Mango is an advocate for healthier snacking and their award-winning all natural frozen yogurt contains no artificial ingredients. Red Mango offers an extensive variety of flavors that are all-natural, nonfat or lowfat, certified gluten-free and kosher. To top it off, the toppings bar has fresh fruit, granola, and something for everyone to enjoy.
“We are very excited about our first locations in K-12 schools to offer students a new perspective on fresh and nutritious snacking,” said Jim Notarnicola, Vice President of Marketing at BRIX Holdings, parent company to Red Mango. “Snacks at school don’t have to be in a package from a vending machine. With these new Red Mango frozen yogurt machines and toppings bar offering a variety of choices and combinations, students can create their own snack that is low in fat with live and active probiotics.”
“It is our job to give students smart food options throughout the school year that they will embrace,” said Debi Miller, Aramark Food Service Director at NISD. “Aramark and NISD Food Services are working together to create more snacking options for students on campus. Red Mango is famous for offering low-fat nutritious treats that can be customized to fit each individual, and that’s a great fit for our diverse high school student population.”
