New DoubleTree by Hilton Decatur Riverfront Debuts in Historic Downtown Decatur

Marking the Largest and Only Full Service Hotel in “The River City”

August 31, 2015 // Franchising.com // DECATUR, Ala. and MCLEAN, Va. – Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Decatur Riverfront, a five-story, 165-room hotel located in historic downtown Decatur, 14 miles from Huntsville International Airport. Formerly a Garden Plaza hotel, the property closed in November 2014 to complete a dramatic $10 million transformation and reopens this month to debut a total redesign of the exterior and lobby, fully-updated guest rooms and suites, all new furniture throughout the hotel, updated and expanded meeting spaces and a beautifully-renovated atrium.
