Church's Chicken® To Open New Restaurant in Gulfport, MS

First 100 People Before 10 Am To Receive Free Chicken For A Month

GULFPORT, Miss. Sept. 25, 2015 // PRNewswire // - Church's Chicken® will be hosting a grand opening on Saturday, September 26th to mark its new restaurant in Gulfport, MS with first-time franchisee group CRW, LLC, led by Dr. Roy Irons, Mr. Worth Thomas and Ms. Carolyn Washington. The new Church's Chicken is located at 11487 US 49 and is the first establishment in the Gulfport market built by the brand since 2006. Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant and Speaker of the House Phillip Gunn will attend the grand opening and ribbon cutting.

The festivities begin with a ribbon cutting with the Governor and Speaker at 10am followed by an array of prize giveaways, a radio remote and activities by the whole family. The first 100 people who arrive before 10 am receive Free Chicken For A Month.

The Church's Chicken brand was impressed by the depth of questions asked by Dr. Irons, Washington and Thomas during the franchise candidate selection process which resulted in the trio joining the brand in November 2013. Irons, Washington and Thomas began development of their restaurant in 2014 and signed their franchise agreement in April 2015. They have demonstrated a hands-on and can-do approach from the moment they joined the brand and since joining, Dr. Roy attended 5 weeks of team member and management training in one of the Church's Chicken training restaurants.

The franchise deal, agreed upon by all three franchisees and Church's Chicken, is to open three restaurants by June 15, 2017 with the locations being within or near the Biloxi-Gulfport area.
