The ‘Sinful’ Sin City Burger Named as Most Popular Limited-Time Burger in Smashburger History

‘Sin City Survival Tips’ Social Media Campaign Contributes to Success of Burger Popularity

DENVER - October 01, 2015 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Smashburger, the national better burger restaurant known for its fresh, smashed to order burgers, today announced that its newest addition to the menu, The Sin City Burger, is the highest selling, most popular limited time only product release in Smashburger history. It’s no surprise the mouth-watering hometown Las Vegas burger is a favorite amongst fans. Topped with crispy Applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, crunchy haystack onions, a fried egg, and the brand’s signature Smash Sauce™, this burger is a ‘sinful’ combination that some say can cure anything, even a hangover. This fan favorite burger will be available nationwide until October 20th.

“The Sin City burger really highlights our commitment to serving local burger builds in the communities we operate. We knew from our loyal customers that our Sin City burger had a cult following, however, the results have far exceeded our expectations,” commented Josh Kern, Chief Marketing Officer for Smashburger. “We launched the Sin City Survival Tips campaign in celebration of the new Sin City burger and we’ve really enjoyed the thousands of responses from our customers on our social media channels on how much they love the burger.”

Smashburger offers a unique local burger in each market in which it operates, created with toppings and flavors that embody the local community. Each local burger is generally only available to customers in that market, however, Smashburger has recently featured a few of its local burgers as limited time offerings on menus nationwide as a way to encourage fans to try different tastes and flavors that are popular across the country.

Smashburger launched its ‘Sin City Survival Tips’ campaign with the national debut of the Sin City Burger and believes the campaign has contributed to the overall success of the limited time burger. The campaign invites Smashfans who think they have what it takes to survive the “Sin City” to submit their most outrageous survival tips on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #SinCitySurvivalTips by 12AM EST on October 20th. One winner will have the chance to put his/her tips to the test for a weekend getaway in Las Vegas for two people. Tips such as “Trying to win it all back on ‘0’ is bold…too bold. #SinCitySurvivalTips” and “Choose your #Vegas wingmen wisely. #SinCitySurvivalTips” are just a few examples of fan submissions for the campaign.
