October 08, 2015 // Franchising.com // WEST MOBILE, Ala. – Due to popular demand, the greater Mobile, Ala., area is about to enjoy its second fast casual Uncle Maddio's Pizza restaurant! The Atlanta-based create-your-own pizza restaurant will formally open in West Mobile on Friday, October 9 at 7765 Airport Blvd, Suite 120, near the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Schillinger Road. On Saturday, October 10, there will be a free 9-inch, 3-topping pizza for all guests from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., as well as live music that night with a performance from 2014 ‘The Voice’ contestant and Mobile area resident Jordy Searcy.

Uncle Maddio’s is a modern pizza restaurant that lets guests build their own pizza exactly how they want it. Guests choose from one of three crusts, including a delicious gluten-free option, and 48 toppings, including six sauces, 27 vegetables and 15 meats. Everything is fresh, from the pizza dough that’s made in-store each day to the locally grown veggies that are delivered every morning. For guests looking to expand their pizza horizons, Uncle Maddio’s also offers signature pizzas ranging from the meaty Big Max to the spicy Jamaican Jerk.
Create-your-own salads and foldwich sandwiches round out the Italian inspired menu. The restaurant also offers a selection of craft beers and wine.

Hargett is a veteran restaurateur. Prior to moving into restaurant development and operations, he honed his culinary skills in the kitchens of the Brennan family, Emeril Lagasse and Gerard Maras before moving on to the restaurant chef role at Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf Club & Spa in Point Clear, Ala. and an AAA four-diamond resort.
The new West Mobile restaurant joins the area’s first Uncle Maddio’s restaurant, which opened last year in Daphne, also managed by JUMP. “We continue to be blown away by the positive reaction of Mobile residents to our food,” said Matt Andrew, CEO of Uncle Maddio’s Pizza. “We knew immediately that we would need to expand to meet the demand of our guests, and the West Mobile location is the perfect spot for us to do that.”
JUMP Restaurant Management, a subsidiary of Jubilee Restaurant Group, announced earlier this year that it will develop 13 Uncle Maddio’s restaurants across the South, including communities in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Lafayette, La.; Greater Memphis, Tenn.; and Southaven and Olive Branch, Miss. Jubilee Restaurant Group also operates ten Five Guys Burgers and Fries locations with development rights to 14 more in five states. Since launching its impressive growth plan in 2008, Uncle Maddio's has completed franchise agreements with 55 different entities in 18 states.
