Sign of Success: FASTSIGNS® of Irving/Las Colinas Celebrates 28 Years by Expanding

October 14, 2015 // Franchising.com // IRVING, Texas - FASTSIGNS® of Irving/Las Colinas, owned by Jeff Youngblood and Cory Merchant, is celebrating 28 years in business by moving to a larger suite within its current shopping center and more than doubling in size.

“We’re adding 4,500 square feet of space with this move and building a one-of-a-kind showroom that can only be described as a sign buyer’s dream store - think of a ‘sign depot’,” explained Youngblood. “Moving and building out this new 8,500 square foot center creates an even better environment for our team and for our customers.”

The new location will open its doors in November and an Open House event is scheduled for December 8. The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce is helping FASTSIGNS celebrate their new and expanded location with a ribbon cutting ceremony during the Open House event.

FASTSIGNS of Irving/Las Colinas is investing $100,000 into the move and expansion, with an additional $60,000 investment from landlord JAH Property Co.

“FASTSIGNS is proud to have been located in Irving for almost 30 years and within this shopping center for 23 years,” said Youngblood who currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, previously served on the North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce and the DFW Humane Society. “We look forward to many, many more years serving and supporting this community.”

Putting time and money back into the area is a core business and personal principle for Youngblood and Merchant. FASTSIGNS of Irving/Las Colinas provides support for many local charities and organizations, including the Irving-based DFW Humane Society, Irving Schools Foundation, Resource Center Dallas, Irving Cares, Legacy House, the Irving Police Association and the Irving Fire Fighters Foundation. This focus on community service is one reason FASTSIGNS of Irving/Las Colinas is a two-time recipient of the Blue Ribbon Small Business Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
