RE/MAX Suburban, 5th Largest Residential Brokerage in the Chicago Area, Acquired by New Ownership Group

RE/MAX Suburban, the fifth largest residential brokerage organization based in the Chicago area, has been acquired by business executives Chad and Sarah Gilbert.

CHICAGO, ILL. (PRWEB) October 23, 2015 - RE/MAX Suburban, the fifth largest residential brokerage organization based in the Chicago area according to the most recent national ranking by REAL Trends magazine, has been acquired by Chad and Sarah Gilbert. RE/MAX Suburban, based in Mt. Prospect, Ill., also has six other offices with locations in Arlington Heights, Glen Ellyn, Libertyville, Schaumburg and Wheaton, Ill. In 2015, its nearly 200 brokers are projected to close $950 million in sales.

The Gilberts are both experienced business executives. Chad Gilbert, 35, who will serve as president of RE/MAX Suburban, most recently was vice president at Stericycle, Inc., a Fortune 1,000 company headquartered in Lake Forest, Ill. Prior to that, he was vice president of national sales for Reinhart Foodservice of Rosemont, Ill.

He has a proven track record leading strong teams and growing companies and successfully led sales organizations ranging from $200 million to more than $3 billion.

Sarah Gilbert also possesses extensive managerial experience and is currently a director with the nation's largest drugstore chain.

Established in 1977 by Robert Baker and James Nelson, Sr., RE/MAX Suburban has a long successful history in the Chicagoland market. It is the largest RE/MAX franchised real estate brokerage in Illinois.

The Gilberts are committed to continuing the exceptional success achieved by the Baker/Nelson team. Toward that end, James (Jim) Nelson, Jr., previous partner and managing broker, will remain with RE/MAX Suburban as vice president and general manager.
