TAMPA, FL - (Marketwired - Oct 27, 2015) - College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving has broadened its Tennessee presence to include new franchise operations in Knoxville.
East Tennessee State University grad Chris Carpenter came to College Hunks from the casual dining industry, and he also spent time in financial collections services. Those experiences will give him a leg up in his new venture, Carpenter said.
"They gave me a chance to see how two very different business models worked, so they were valuable experiences," Carpenter said. "Outstanding customer service is at the core of everything, and that is an area where College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving excels."
The Knoxville franchise is part of College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving's expansion across the Southeast, as well as into other parts of the country. Young, enthusiastic owners like Carpenter are key to that strategy, says Omar Soliman, CEO and co-founder.
"When we talk about our 'H.U.N.K.S.,' we are talking about young, enthusiastic employees who present well, are dependable, and get the job done," Soliman said. "When we get an owner like Chris, who matches that description as well, then we know it's going to be a successful operation right away."
Carpenter's College Hunks Hauling Junk franchise and Moving is scheduled for an early October opening and will serve a territory that includes most of Knox and Blount counties, including Knoxville, Maryville, Alcoa, Farragut, Oak Ridge, and Lenoir City. Given the season and the location, he's going to be focusing his marketing efforts on University of Tennessee home football games and related events.
"We can literally reach 100,000 or more people in an afternoon," Carpenter said. "I'm definitely going to make the most of that opportunity!"
Carpenter and his team will represent the brand well on campus, and will also find success in the rest of the area as well, Soliman predicted.
"When Chris was in Tampa to meet with us and go through our training program, he completely understood what College Hunks is all about," he said. "We believe he will immediately have a solid book of business in the Knoxville area."
Carpenter is ready. "I'm going to do what College Hunks prides itself on, which is making sure that every customer's needs are met and exceeded," he added. "We are going to provide a stress-free junk removal and moving experience. In Knoxville, having some orange on the truck won't hurt!"
