(NASDAQ:JMBA) a leading health and wellness brand, and Blendtec, Inc., developer of the world’s most advanced blenders, announced today that the companies have entered into a strategic agreement intended to deliver a fully-optimized blending solution for Jamba Juice stores. The key focus of the agreement will be to incorporate long-term optimization of Jamba’s in-store blending capabilities, foster ongoing innovation, and provide flexible business terms to Jamba franchise partners as they grow their businesses.
Blendtec blenders will provide a number of operational efficiencies, including more powerful and quieter motors, reduced re-blends, and blend times that will enhance speed-of-service. The blenders also provide smoother texture to Jamba smoothies and juices. These improvements are expected to increase customer satisfaction and support franchise business success.
On an ongoing basis the companies will be highly focused on developing innovative solutions to meet Jamba’s growing needs. In addition to the optimized blending solution, the companies have agreed to implement a proprietary, stand-alone smoothie unit expected to greatly accelerate Jamba’s JambaGo® and Jamba Express formats that will open a wealth of new channel opportunities for the brand.
