Meineke Car Care Centers Offer Free Oil Changes for Veterans

Leading Car Care Brand Offers Complimentary Service to Active, Retired and Reserve Military Members

CHARLOTTE, NC - (Marketwired - November 04, 2015) - In celebration of Veterans Day, Meineke Car Care Centers across the country are offering free oil changes to America's brave service men and women on Wednesday, November 11. Free oil changes for veterans is an annual Meineke tradition yet, the promotion is just one way America's leading automotive maintenance and repair provider supports the military community.

The promotion is accompanied by a variety of other initiatives, all supporting the military community. In November, Meineke will sign the Employer Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve, a proclamation indicating steadfast commitment to providing continued and meaningful employment for America's reserve and retired military personnel and their families. The signing only solidifies what many Meineke owners already practice when they hire both retired and reserve military members. In addition to donating a combined $10,000 to AmVets -- an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for American Veterans, and Hope for Warriors -- a support program provider for military families; Meineke also teamed up with Maaco to refurbish and gift a truck to a deserving veteran as part of its Cars and Stripes program.

"Veterans Day is the ideal time to display our genuine gratitude for the sacrifices made every day by the brave men and women in our military," said Artemio Garza, Chief Marketing Officer of Meineke Car Care Centers. "At Meineke, we know an oil change is a basic service vehicles need to ensure they continue to properly function. By offering free oil changes to the military community, we're doing our small part to ensure they have their most basic needs taken care of."

Free oil changes are available on Wednesday, November 11th at more than 460 participating Meineke Centers to active, retired and reserve military members with valid military ID. The offer is valid at participating locations only and applies to Meineke's basic oil change package. Customers are encouraged to take advantage of Meineke's online appointment scheduler to book their oil change appointment in advance. Rainchecks will be available at Meineke locations offering the promotion who cannot accommodate all free oil change requests on Veterans Day.
