Franchise Opportunities Set to Grow on the West Coast with Leading Preschool Company

Primrose Schools® seeks entrepreneurs at The West Coast Franchise Expo

ATLANTA - Nov. 12, 2015 // PRNewswire // - Franchise opportunities are growing in California and along the West Coast with Primrose Schools®, a high-quality early education and care provider with more than 305 independently owned and operated schools. The company, which experienced record geographic expansion last year, is actively seeking potential franchise owners in the Los Angeles and San Francisco markets. Primrose Schools will attend The West Coast Franchise Expo, the largest business ownership event in the western U.S., to connect with entrepreneurs in the area on Nov. 12 – 14 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Ca.

Last year, Primrose opened 19 new schools including its first school in California, expanding the company's footprint to reach from coast to coast. The company also celebrated a major milestone with the opening of its 300th school in 2015. Additionally, Primrose Schools awarded 45 new franchise agreements and experienced a 13.5 percent increase from 2013 in overall system revenue.

"The latest U.S. Census reported that there are 25 million preschool-aged children in the U.S., which means the demand for high-quality early education and care will continue to grow on the West Coast and all across the country," said Chris Goethe, vice president of franchising for Primrose Schools and a featured speaker at The West Coast Franchise Expo. "Primrose is experiencing a period of record growth in order to serve these children and their families in both urban and suburban communities. We are actively seeking qualified entrepreneurs to join the Primrose family and to help us forge a path to a brighter future for all children."

Since 2013, the children's services sector has been growing at more than three times the rate of other franchise sectors. According to industry research firm IBISWorld, the child care franchise industry will continue to grow at an average annual rate of 2.6 percent to $54.5 billion by 2019. The industry's growth has been matched by an increasing desire among the American workforce to do work that does good for others. Forbes recently reported that 88 percent of millennials are seeking work with a greater purpose, and more than 4.5 million people ages 50 to 70 have left their first career for an "encore career" in a business that combines personal and social impact with continued income.

"I spent more than 20 years as a retail company franchisee but ultimately left the business because I was seeking a new, more meaningful career path. When I learned about Primrose, it was impossible not to pursue the opportunity," said Nick Kurji, franchise owner of Primrose School of Pleasanton located in California's Tri-Valley. "The integrity, honesty and transparency of Primrose is unlike anything else I have ever encountered in a franchise business."

Since opening in February 2014, Primrose School of Pleasanton has been extremely well-received by parents and the local community. Within its first year of operation, the school reached a 100 percent enrollment rate, and Kurji is now planning to open a second school in the area. "When the school opened, our staff agreed we should focus on providing a quality experience every day for every child who enters through our doors. I knew if we focused on that process, a successful result would follow. The community has truly embraced Primrose and respects the enrichment we provide to the families and children we serve."

With the opening of Primrose School of Pleasanton last year, Primrose has identified four key western markets, including Los Angeles and San Francisco that are ready for immediate expansion due to strong demand for high-quality early education and care, entrepreneurial interest and available real estate opportunities. Communities identified in the greater Los Angeles area include Santa Clarita, Carlsbad, Rocklin, Roseville, Folsom and El Dorado Hills. Communities in the San Francisco metro area include Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Danville, Fremont, Fremont, Milpitas, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, San Jose, Los Gatos, Evergreen and Morgan Hill.

Entrepreneurs interested in learning more about Primrose Schools franchise opportunities in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas or other West Coast markets are encouraged to stop by booth 308 at The West Coast Franchise Expo or visit PrimroseFranchise.com. Additionally, Chris Goethe and Nick Kurji will represent Primrose by participating in a panel discussion at the show on Friday, Nov. 13, on "The Franchisor-Franchisee Relationship: Striking the Perfect Balance."
