First Watch To Donate All Proceeds From Opening Event To Kids In Need

The restaurant is partnering with 4Kids of South Florida for its Pembroke Pines opening.

December 07, 2015 // Franchising.com // PEMBROKE PINES, Florida – First Watch Restaurants, the popular Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch concept, announced that in conjunction with its Dec. 7 restaurant opening, the company will donate all money raised from a pre-opening event to charity. Proceeds from the event at the company’s new Pembroke Pines restaurant will be donated to 4Kids of South Florida, a local organization that strives to help children in crisis find safe homes and stability.

The event will be held at the new First Watch at 12598 Pines Blvd., Suite 103, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, and is open to the public. A $10 per person donation is suggested.

“Every day in South Florida, seven kids are taken out of their homes because of abuse or neglect. That’s a startling number and one that prompted First Watch to do our part to help,” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer at First Watch. “We wanted to partner with 4Kids to help provide homes for children in the neighborhoods surrounding our area restaurants, and we figured inviting our new friends and neighbors in Pembroke Pines to a fundraiser for the cause was a great way to do that.”

The new restaurant will be 33-year-old First Watch’s 46th restaurant in Florida and will employ about 25 people. It will serve the company’s fresh, new menu and flaunt its new restaurant design.

The company’s curated new menu takes an elevated approach to traditional and innovative offerings with made-to-order, farm fresh ingredients. It includes items such as Avocado Toast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. The restaurant will offer healthy, flavorful favorites like house-made granola and pico de gallo, organic greens, house-roasted vegetables, cage-free eggs and 100% fresh-squeezed orange juice.

First Watch will also offer options from its Fresh Juice Bar, juiced in-house daily from fresh fruits and vegetables sourced locally whenever possible. The restaurant will serve its exclusive Sunrise Select Premium Blend Coffee, made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown coffee beans from mountains across North, Central and South America.

The new eatery will open with the company’s latest interior design, which combines farm fresh elements with a high-energy, urban vibe.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers customers complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
