Choice Hotels Signs Agreement with Former Football Pro Christopher Harrison

To Develop a New Cambria hotel & suites in Petersburg

VAROCKVILLE, Md. - March 8, 2016 // PRNewswire // - Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the world's largest hotel companies, announced it has signed an agreement with C. A. Harrison Companies, LLC, to develop a Cambria hotel & suites in Petersburg, VA. The 140-room Cambria property will be located at 380 East Washington Street.

C. A. Harrison Companies was founded in 1998 by former NFL offensive tackle Christopher Harrison, who spent his football career playing for the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos. Since its inception, the company has sought to transform neighborhoods in Washington, D.C. and surrounding areas by creating affordable living and homeownership opportunities. In recent years, the company has expanded its focus to include development of mixed-use and commercial properties, with Cambria hotel & suites Petersburg, VA being its first hotel venture.

This property will also boast meeting space, an indoor pool and an outdoor courtyard. Additionally, the complex will include 26,700 square feet of retail and office spaces and up to 100 residential apartment units.
