College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Expands Into Northwestern Virginia

Rapidly Growing Moving and Junk Removal Franchise Brings Stress-Free Service, Professionalism and High Energy to Winchester, Manassas

April 18, 2016 // Franchising.com // STEPHENS CITY, Virginia - College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving - which has been featured on “Blue Collar Millionaire,” “Shark Tank,” and other primetime shows - has come to northwestern Virginia. The moving and junk removal franchise is led by local owner Steve Arvoy

“Helping people and doing something that is meaningful is very important to me,” he says. Arvoy is excited to provide customers clean-cut professionalism and white-glove service that most people don’t associate with junk removal and moving.

Professional service from ambitious employees

HUNKS stands for Honest, Uniformed, Nice, Knowledgeable Service, which is the company’s promise to customers. College Hunks fulfills that promise by building a great team of men and women who set out to be more than junk haulers and movers - they set out to learn how to run and grow a successful business. Like other College Hunks owners, Arvoy actively recruits people who are entrepreneurial, friendly, professional, and looking to grow.

Arvoy says that by providing excellent customer service, College Hunks is able to take a huge burden of stress off of customers. He’s also proud of the company’s environmental efforts. Items that are still in good condition are donated to charity. Other items are taken to recycling centers. “Not all ‘junk’ is really junk,” Arvoy says. “We’re not just picking up stuff and filling up landfills.”

Arvoy is also excited to mentor employees, and he’s already started building the skills of his team.

“One of the college guys on my team has classes that wrap up at 4 p.m., and I reached out to him and said, ‘Hey, if you want to come join me tonight, I’m going to be knocking on doors, making calls and placing signs.’ I know he appreciated making a little extra money, but he also got to see, ‘This is how we do it. This is how we start building awareness and getting customers. This is how I introduce myself, and have a conversation with customers, and start to earn their business.’ I’ve been building these skills for years, and he can learn from me. Then, whether he grows with College Hunks or pursues his niche elsewhere, he’ll have more skills and know-how. I already know he’s talented. This lets me start preparing him for the future.”

A fun, fast-growing business

College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving is the fastest-growing junk-removal franchise and moving franchise in America. The company has made “Entrepreneur” magazine's list of top franchise opportunities for six years in a row and continues its nationwide expansion by bringing professionalism and sophisticated marketing to an industry that is in constant demand.

He shares the values that have built College Hunks into a fast-growing brand, and it’s exciting to see him begin building his team and honing their skills. He’s going to have a big impact.”
