This is the tenth Pie Five restaurant opened by the Goebel family in the Kansas City area. "We were initially drawn to the fast-casual pizza concept, and in particular to the Pie Five brand, because of the ability to customize pizzas for each guests' needs," said Kerry Goebel, Pie Five Pizza franchisee. "As we've grown, so have our fresh menu offerings. We now have the ability to cater to guests with dietary-based restrictions and food-sensitive allergies with our gluten-free crust and vegan-cheese. Our combinations are nearly infinite."

The Goebel family will also continue their longstanding commitment of donating 5 percent of sales each and every Monday to Children's Mercy Hospital inKansas City through their "Mercy Mondays" program. Thanks to the generosity of their guests, Pie Five has already raised $97,000 for the children's hospital. Help them reach their goal of $100,000 by stopping in at any area Pie Five on Mondays.

"Children's Mercy Hospital provides life-saving treatment to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay" said franchise partner, Dave Goebel. "We applaud and support this effort through our continued partnership."
