May 03, 2016 // Franchising.com // TAMPA, FL - College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk and Moving has won an award for franchisee satisfaction, earning the honor from Franchise Business Review. The trade publication's 2016 Top 50 Franchisee Satisfaction Awards were based on interviews with more than 26,000 franchisees representing more than 350 companies.
Inclusion on the Top 50 list reflects overall franchisee satisfaction as well as financial performance, the magazine said.
"This is an awesome honor," said President and co-founder Nick Friedman. "Awards are nice, but this one is special because of what it says about our company and our culture. Not only are our franchisees performing strongly, but they are enjoying the businesses that they are building. One of our core values is creating a fun, enthusiastic team environment, and this kind of feedback shows that we're hitting the mark."
Another core value of the company is to listen, fulfill and delight team members, franchisees and clients. To that end, the franchise deploys several different systems that make it quick and easy for customers, team members and franchisees to provide feedback, and the company tracks that feedback rigorously and works to constantly improve service.
The commitment to listen, fulfill, and delight franchisees has led to internal innovations that have made it easier for franchisees to open and expand their businesses. For instance, co-founders Friedman and CEO Omar Soliman opened the books of their corporate-owned locations to lenders, showing them how company-owned locations have performed, and explaining the business model and how it scales. As a result, College H.U.N.K.S. was able to secure a preferred lending arrangement that helps franchisees more easily finance the trucks they need to expand their business.
And franchisees have certainly been expanding. Average reported franchisee revenue grew 51% between 2014 and 2015 -- an incredible jump that continues a now 6-year-long streak of double-digit sales growth.
