Mary Mickiewicz Launches Caring Transitions of the Lowcountry
New locally-owned business serves Johns Island, Charleston, North Charleston, West Ashley, Ladson, Summerville and the surrounding communities.
CHARLESTON, SC (PRWEB) May 03, 2016 - After a 25 year career in retail sales management, Mary Mickiewicz made the choice to make a transition to the next stage of her life. She’s excited to announce the launch of her own business – Caring Transitions of the Lowcountry.
Caring Transitions is America’s largest resource for managing senior relocations as well as downsizing and estate liquidations. In addition to organizing, packing, de-cluttering, moving and resettling, Caring Transitions can handle estate sales, liquidations, and preparing homes for market. Caring Transitions of the Lowcountry serves Johns Island, Charleston, North Charleston, West Ashley, Ladson, Summerville and the surrounding communities.
“The demands of a retail career were taking an enormous toll on the time I had to devote to my growing family. My husband, Randy, and I talked at length about possibilities for us, working as a team, to create a better life for us and our five children. Through a natural process, while simultaneously being faced with the realities of my parents’ advancing age, we discovered Caring Transitions and decided it was not only something we could do together, but was a way for us to truly have a positive impact on our community. Opening our own business was a huge decision. For me, for my husband, for our family and we’re approaching it the only way I know how: with drive and passion and commitment to its success,” Mickiewicz said.
Whether your situation is planned or unexpected, Caring Transitions’ services are perfect for seniors moving in with family or into a safer living situation; busy families and people clearing out the home of a loved one who has passed; or those that understand the need or value in “right” sizing to a more manageable home. All of Caring Transitions’ services are customizable, so clients only pay for the services they need – whether that means managing the entire move and estate liquidation or just getting someone resettled into their new home.
“Confronting the realities facing my own parents, who are now in their late 80s and still in their own home, I came to understand the enormity of what this stage of life entails. While my own family is large – I’m the eighth of nine children – no one lives closer than a four hour drive and I’m the closest. I saw and understood firsthand how overwhelming and daunting thoughts about possibly relocating were - for them, first of all, and for our family, who are so spread out across the country. So many questions, so many emotions, so may logistical concerns, the physical demands of dealing with personal belongings accumulated over more than 60 years of marriage - it can be paralyzing. It was then that the services Caring Transitions offers really hit home for me,” Mickiewicz said. “My passions are working with and caring for seniors and entrepreneurship – so this is perfect.”
“Each family and every situation is unique – that’s why we work to create customized plans to suit your needs. Sometimes you just need someone to hold your hand and take the stress off your plate. I want to be there for you and your family,” Mickiewicz added.
When she’s not working, Mickiewicz can be found spending time with her husband Randy and five children Taylor, Clay, Jarod, Lorin, Callie and English Bulldog, Tank- most likely at the beach.
Mickiewicz is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, a designation bestowed by an independent organization that evaluates providers of senior relocation services. Caring Transitions of the Lowcountry is bonded and insured and all employees are background-checked.
