The Future Of Dry Cleaning Just Got Friendly-er. Lapels Dry Cleaning To Open At 284 Grove Street, Braintree, MA

May 06, 2016 // Franchising.com // BRAINTREE, MA and HANOVER, MA - Lapels Dry Cleaning, an innovative, environmentally friendly dry cleaning company headquartered in Hanover, Massachusetts, will open a full-service dry cleaning store at 284 Grove Street, Braintree, MA. The location is owned and operated by ARAL Management Group, which also owns and operates 10 Friendly’s restaurants from Cape Cod to Quincy.

“We had been looking for an opportunity to diversify our holdings and Lapels Dry Cleaning has been on our radar for a while now for several reasons - namely the people, the organization, the opportunity for growth,” said Bobby Arruda, president of ARAL Management Group. “Perhaps most importantly, the environmental appeal won us over. When we open, Lapels Dry Cleaning of Braintree will be the only dry cleaner in the area using a 100 percent environmentally non-toxic cleaning solution.”

ARAL Management Group took over Lapels Dry Cleaning stores in Natick, Needham, Cambridge and Boston within the past year. Arruda noted that the Lapels Dry Cleaning of Needham will serve as the hub for ARAL’s Lapels Dry Cleaning locations, with Lapels Dry Cleaning of Braintree being the fifth spoke on the wheel.

Said Arruda, “Besides Lapels Dry Cleaning of Braintree, we anticipate adding a number of additional spokes to our hub at Lapels Dry Cleaning of Needham, creating a large wheel of dry cleaning locations extending up to Boston to MetroWest, Boston South and the South Shore.”

Arruda began working with Friendly’s 25 years ago, rising through the ranks to become director of operations for Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He has been a Friendly’s franchise owner since in 2012.

Joining Arruda in the Lapels venture will be his wife Claudette. As co-owner, Claudette will manage the day-to-day operations for Lapels Dry Cleaning of Braintree. The couple reside in Hanover, Mass. and have two children, Bobby Jr. and Jade.

Lapels has pioneered its eco-friendly dry cleaning experience over the past dozen years. Part of that effort includes a partnership agreement with GreenEarth®, the dry cleaning industry’s only non-toxic cleaning alternative for its newer locations like Lapels Dry Cleaning of Tampa. Using these kinds of solutions and the latest technology in equipment, Lapels is one of the few dry cleaners able to boast that there is no hazardous waste in their process. Their environmentally-friendly cleaning process has no odor and is gentler on clothes, thus lengthening the life of clothes.

Lapels Dry Cleaning also sets itself apart with its customer service. Lapels customers are greeted to a warm and inviting reception area, with friendly customer service representatives, and alteration services.

Lapels offers it’s customers Automatic Rewards earning them credit towards free dry cleaning for every dollar they spend, Loyalty Programs, a VIP Program which eliminates the need to wait in line, the use of a 24 Hour Drop Off Service and FREE Home Delivery to all its customers.
