Handcrafted pizza and a unique art filled environment inspired by vintage travel postcards from a bygone era are just a couple of reasons to stop into Mellow Mushroom North Charleston today.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (PRWEB) May 20, 2016 - Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers opens Monday 23, 2016, in North Charleston, S.C., at 4855 Tanger Outlet Blvd. This 6,300 square foot Mellow sports a clean, sleek and contemporary yet warm and inviting design, full of intriguing art, which invites guests to explore the interior and seek out conversation pieces.

Every Mellow is individually owned and operated. Mellow Mushroom North Charleston is owned by Joshua Broome, Johnny Hudgins and Michael Shemtov. Asked what inspired them to open this Mellow, they responded, “The area around Tanger Outlet in North Charleston was missing a concept like ours with local craft beer, craft pizza, gluten free options and our eclectic vibe. We will be the go-to location before and after concerts, performances and sports events at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center.”

Mellow Mushroom’s menu showcases natural flavors and the freshest of ingredients in a creative menu assortment of pizzas, sandwiches and burgers, salads, calzones, appetizers and vegetarian and vegan options. Gluten free crust and a kids menu are also available.

All Mellow Mushrooms are known as places that provide an entertaining experience in a unique, artistically decorated environment, and this one is no exception. The interior of Mellow Mushroom North Charleston was inspired by vintage travel postcards from a bygone era. It explores the universality of mankind, invoking dreams of travel and intercultural communication through symbols of the exploration and charting of time and space: a giant postcard, 97 classroom globes, 12 clocks and even a disco ball. Recalling the dawn of the Interstate and the beginnings of the road trip motif, a 30-foot postcard with the message "Greetings from ONE WORLD" is filled with iconic imagery from around the world. The centerpiece of this experience is an eight-foot sphere covered by classroom globes from all eras and spinning overhead together as one.

The full service bar features an extensive wine list and fresh, handcrafted cocktails, local and regional craft brews as well as the more popular commercial brands.

Activities abound. Catch all sorts of sports action on more than 20 T.V.s for sports. This location will be starting off with Happy Hour, but in the future host local events supporting local breweries, Tanger Outlet friends, Stingrays Hockey Games and concerts in the area. The store will be offering the patio for rental and private parties. This location will also feature catering to local businesses and hotels in the area as well.
