Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream Awards 3 Franchises in the State of Florida

May 23, 2016 // Franchising.com // BOCA RATON, Fla. – Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream, a fast-growing mobile franchise specializing in Hawaiian shaved ice and ice cream, has officially signed three franchise agreements with Weston, Florida-based entrepreneur, Guillermo Canedo, for territories in Weston, Pembroke Pines, and Sunrise, Fla. The agreements mark the 53rd, 54th, and 55th Tikiz franchises sold, and will be the 12th, 13th, and 14th franchises to open in the State of Florida.

“Tikiz is on the move, and we’re looking forward to watching Guillermo experience that growth with his three South Florida locations,” said Brian Tollefson, founder of Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream. “Weston, Pembroke Pines, and Sunrise are prime territories for Tikiz, and we’re confident the community will embrace the concept and all that it has to offer.”

Like all Tikiz franchises, the all-new South Florida businesses will feature the Tikiz truck, which delivers consumers an inviting and entertaining atmosphere with steel drum music roaring, colorful neon lights dancing and water misters cooling off crowds on warm days. Each Hawaiian beach-themed wrapped unit is based off all-new, heavy-duty and fuel-efficient Ford truck platforms that are built from the ground up with numerous custom components. For example, the patented “Surv-Board™” dispenser on the back of the truck allows customers to create their own fruit syrup creations, so the Tikiz operator can focus on serving more shaved ice and ice cream. Additionally, the self-contained water system and high-output batteries allow operators to produce more than 400 shaved ice servings per hour and eliminate the need for noisy generators.
