Marco’s Pizza Announces Aggressive Growth Plans for Virginia

Nation’s Fastest Growing Pizza Franchise to Add Six New Locations by 2017

July 08, 2016 // // Virginia – Marco’s Pizza, the fastest-growing pizza franchise in the United States, continues its growth in Virginia with plans to introduce six new locations through strategic franchise partnerships, creating more than 150 new jobs throughout the state. Currently there are two locations open in Virginia, with the additional locations under development and projected to be open and operating within the next six months.

The new Marco’s Pizza locations will open under the leadership of Joe Walker, a military veteran who joined the Marco’s Pizza team just five years ago, after four years of activity duty in the U.S. Army, including tours in Iraq. Now, Walker owns a total of 16 Marco’s Pizza locations with an additional four in various stages of development. As a resident of South Carolina, Walker is eager to use his leadership skills and expertise to grow the brand across state lines.

Targeted development markets in Virginia, which Walker and other Area Representatives are actively seeking franchise partners for, include Ironbridge, Charlottesville and Richmond. Currently there is one lease signed in Mechanicsville.
