Pest Control Industry Leader Reaches 200th Location Milestone, Announces New Vice President and Brand Leader

(PRWEB) July 27, 2016 - Business is buzzing. Outdoor pest control industry founder and leader Mosquito Squad, mosquitosquad.com, reaches its 200th franchise location this season with plans to continue growth from coast-to-coast with a new vice president and brand leader.

“We are thrilled to reach 200 locations as another key milestone in Mosquito Squad’s strong and sustained growth, along with strong results from our existing franchisees,” said Chris Grandpre, chairman and chief executive officer of Outdoor Living Brands, parent company of Mosquito Squad. “As the founder of the outdoor pest elimination industry, no one has delivered more treatments, no one protects more families or yards, and no one covers more zip codes across the United States than Mosquito Squad – and it’s not even close.”

Mosquito Squad expects to announce up to 30 more locations in the next year, and boasts a high percentage of franchisees who own more than one territory. Leading the expansion efforts is Amy Lawhorne, who was promoted to vice president and brand leader for the Mosquito Squad business unit last month.

“Amy brings a seasoned leadership, perspective and significant amount of franchise operations experience to Mosquito Squad. Her promotion from director of franchise operations for the company comes less than a year after joining Mosquito Squad,” Grandpre said.

Lawhorne previously served as COO of Sweet Frog, a 400+ unit frozen yogurt franchise system, and held operational and leadership roles with Dairy Queen International.

“We are confident she will add to our leadership team, lead the day-to-day efforts of assisting franchisees to achieve success, enhance the operational systems and processes, and move the business into its next phase of growth in the years ahead,” Grandpre added.

Founded in 2005 and proud sponsor of Malaria No More, Mosquito Squad uses the latest EPA-registered mosquito control barrier treatments, larvicide and all-natural substances to eliminate mosquitoes from yards and outdoor spaces. Since Mosquito Squad’s partnership with Malaria No More, a nonprofit global health organization with the goal of ending malaria deaths in Africa, they have raised more than $200,000 to help fuel the fight against malaria.
