Blue Moon Estate Sales Expands into the Louisiana Market

August 10, 2016 // Franchising.com // RALEIGH, NC – Blue Moon Estate Sales, the leading estate sales franchise in the country and pioneer of the new niche, continues its national expansion with the opening of its New Orleans location.

Blue Moon of New Orleans opened this past May and marks the company’s first expansion into Louisiana. This location also services individuals and families in Metairie and Louisiana’s Northshore communities.

"This is a great opportunity for our brand," said David Blue, co-founder and Vice President of Development of Blue Moon. "We believe the Louisiana location has a lot to offer residents of the New Orleans community and surrounding areas.”

Blue Moon Estate Sale’s first Louisiana location is owned and operated by local artist Nina Nichols. Nichols’ passion for art and design paired with her interest in eclectic finds inspired her to open her own estate sales business. With experience in event planning, both large and small scale, Nina is excited to help clients showcase the beauty of their items. Additionally, as the daughter of a hospice doctor and oncology nurse, Nichols brings an innate compassion for helping clients undergoing a transition during the estate sale process.

“I am thrilled to be able to be able to provide this service to the members of my community,” said Nichols. “I’m also excited to help consumers discover the many hidden gems available at estate sales.”

Blue Moon Estate Sales offers an extensive list of services provided during the liquidation process: from determining a convenient time line to sweeping up after the sale, Blue Moon also offers a complimentary and extensive evaluation of the home, appropriate pricing from antiques to everyday items, categorization and staging of the home, marketing, hosting and staffing of the sale. As an added bonus, Blue Moon brings a loyal fan base to every sale, which includes customers who will line up hours before the sale to be the first ones to enter the home.
