Couple Opens College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving in Northern Atlanta

Massive Metro Area Will Provide Opportunities for Both Moving and Junk Removal Operations to Build a Solid Customer Base Quickly

KENNESAW, GA - (Marketwired - August 09, 2016) - College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk and Moving - which has been featured on "Blue Collar Millionaire," "Shark Tank," and other primetime shows - has expanded its presence in Atlanta. The company provides local moving, junk removal, donation pickups and more.

Jennifer and Norbert Schmeidler are the owners of the new College Hunks location (2070 Attic Pkwy NW, Suite 204, Kennesaw), which serves the Marietta, Smyrna, Fair Oaks, West Hampton, Shiloh West, Wynford Chase, Country Lake and Cobb County areas. An Ichthyologist by training (the branch of biology devoted to the study of fish,) Norbert and his wife Jennifer are running the business with the help of their four adult children and a growing team of employees.

The Schmeidlers plan to use their new junk removal and moving franchise to mentor college-age men to become leaders and, eventually, business owners themselves. One of the company's core values is Building Leaders by teaching employees comprehensive business skills -- marketing, accounting, management, and customer service skills -- so they are equipped with professional skills.

"I know that whether people make it or not depends on whether they find great mentors and coaches. So, we take an interest in the guys that we hire. We see the value of trying to work with these college guys, because it is all worth it when they can see what success looks like. My hope is that eventually one or two of them will get a franchise of their own. We have seen that a few times."

Building leaders has also helped franchisees build their businesses. College Hunks average franchisee sales increased 51% in 2015 compared to 2014, thanks to strong word-of-mouth from happy customers.

The desire to mentor leaders and aggressively grow a new market is why College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk and Moving awarded Schmeidler the rights to the franchise in Kennesaw.

"We are very aggressive when it comes to growth, but we want to do it the right way," College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving President Nick Friedman said. "That means, first and foremost, finding the right franchise partner. We only want to work with people who are enthusiastic about teamwork, and who believe in our mantra of 'move the world' - which means making a positive impact in the lives of customers and employees. The Schmeidlers share our core values, and clients are going to be blown away by the level of service they receive."

College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving of Kennesaw is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. You can reach them at (770) 375-4392, or
